Garrett Patten is an American filmmaker, producer, director, and actor whose love for cinema began in childhood with a Sony camcorder and a self-taught approach to editing. He studied at the University of Southern California, where he kept close ties to the filmmaking community before spending over a decade in the business world. Upon returning to film, he came in as a producer, working alongside directors to absorb the craftearning credits on notable projects including Bandit (2022), with Josh Duhamel and Mel Gibson, and In the Hand of Dante, featuring Oscar Isaac and Al Pacino. He later studied acting under Michael Monks, which deepened both his approach to directing and his passion for performance.That growth culminated in Self Custody, a cryptocurrency thriller he co-directed and starred in.
