Rachel Wolfson sat down with Chelsea Manning at The Grit Daily House during South by Southwest 2023 to discuss Web3, AI, privacy, cryptocurrency and the fall of Silicon Valley Bank. 🎙️ This week's guest: Chelsea Manning is a former United States Army soldier who gained international attention in 2010 when she leaked classified military and diplomatic documents to WikiLeaks. Manning was arrested and charged with multiple offenses, including violations of the Espionage Act, and sentenced to 35 years in prison. In 2017, President Barack Obama commuted her sentence, and she was released from prison. Manning is also an LGBTQ rights activist and has been outspoken on issues related to government transparency and accountability. Manning is a security consultant for Nym, a Web3 company focused on privacy.
